Challenge #3

Spring, where are you?

I am in the Pacific Northwest and it looks nothing like spring this week, so I want to make a little spring on my own.  This challenge is "Too Much is Never Enough" ... otherwise known as I want to see your layouts with as many flowers on them as possible! Let's make it really springy :) They can be silk, paper, lace, chipboard, buttons, whatever.
If you're into creating flowers youself, here's an excellent list of tutorials: http://tipnut.com/paper-flowers/

Challenge #2

It's a sunny day here and makes me think of Spring! In honor of that, today's challenge is a Palette Challenge, based off this beautiful photo of spring flowers.
I just love the color combinations on this & can't wait to see what you come up with! Be sure to leave a link to your project in the comments for this post :)

Challenge #1

I want to start off the weekly challenges with one of my favorite types of challenges: an ad challenge. What I love about advertising is that everything on an ad is placed with consideration to what the other content will be. I have been particularly intrigued by vintage ads as of late, so your challenge this week is to create a layout based on this ad:
Have fun & don't forget to post a link to your page in the comments :)

Welcome to the Paper Thrills Challenge Blog!

I am one of those people that loves to get inspiration from outside people, places and things for my crafts. I have noticed a lack of sites that have a variety of challenges as of late, so I wanted to start one that would offer weekly challenges.

That being said, for this new site, I will need a design team. I am looking for 11 talented designers to offer their expertise on a bi-weekly basis for a 1 year term. I can't offer anything other than exposure at the moment, but at least we get to have fun! I will close out the call on Sunday, April 10th. Please submit your 3 designs based on these 3 inspirations:
1) Use this color palette to create a layout, card, or altered item

2) Create a layout or card based on this magazine ad
3) And, finally, create a card or layout using this sketch:
Please send all Design Team Application items with your full name, email, and addresses of any galleries or blogs that you have your work on to jroriente@gmail.com with the subject "Paper Thrills DT". Happy scrapping!
