Challenge #53

Ahh, spring is in the air! We are celebrating Spring with an Ad Challenge. Our DT was challenged with creating a layout based on this vintage Vogue cover:
Here's what out DT came up with!

Elisabetta

Used the colors and the form on this beautifully!

Connie
Love the floral paper & the way Connie incorporated the colors!

Missy
The flipped design and patterns everywhere make this a standout layout!

I also have a sad announcement... this will be the last regularly-scheduled challenge posted here on the Paper Thrills Challenge Blog. I started this blog as a repository for ideas, challenges that I, myself wanted to eventually try as I scrapbooked my way through life. I have been doing a lot of soul-searching and the truth is, I haven't been able to scrapbook regularly for over a year because life has taken such a drastic turn and thrown me into ll sorts of things. Running this blog has become more like a chore. I am forever grateful to my Design Team for their hard work in helping me with my challenges, but I feel it's not fair to them when I am not able to get things up in a timely manner. Therefore, it is my decision to discontinue the weekly challenges on this blog. I will leave the challenges up on the site that are here already, so everyone may benefit from them, and I will be possibly adding some when I get a chance to, either here or on our facebook page. I want to keep my options open, so I may start it up again when life calms down, but, for now, there will be no new challenges posted.
Thank you all for playing along!
~ Jill

Challenge #51

Top O' The Mornin' to you all! This week, we have St. Patrick's Day to celebrate, so we challenged ourselves in a fitting way. Not beer layouts... Green!
This week's challenge was to create a monochromatic layout in the palette of green. Neutrals like black, white and brown are allowed, but everything else is green!
Here's some gorgeously green layouts from our design team!
Connie
E=Superb stitching holds this one together!

Elisabetta
I love the vintage feel to this!
Missy
The banners on here are beautiful!
Paula
I love the blocking and squares on here!
Amazing job, ladies!

For our Facebook Challenge this week, I challenge you to use a ton of flowers on your page (otherwise known as a flower sneeze) to celebrate spring. Let's see if you can get 50+ flowers on a page :)
Also, make sure to post your layouts on our Facebook Page!
Happy Scrapping!

Challenge #49- added 1 more!

If you missed the last couple week's challenges, it's because blogger was giving me some problems. I posted them on Facebook, so please visit our Facebook page to see them :)

And now on to this week's challenge!

Since we are blessed with a leap year today, this challenge is to create a layout that involves leaping! There are some fun layouts from our DT that I have to share...
Connie

Paula
Awesome jobs, ladies!
Missy got hers in a little late due to illness... I love the springy feel to this!

For next week's Facebook challenge, create a layout based on the new JCP ads- you know. They are really colorful, clean lines, simple ideas.
Post what you've got on our Facebook Wall!
I can't wait to see 'em!

Challenge #43

Today's challenge is a different one of sorts- since we all have lots of pictures that were taken over the holidays that we are probably getting around to printing now, the challenge is to create a page using no embellishments, just pictures. Bonus if you can include some hidden journaling.
This is the 1st Challenge with our guest DT member
Deb
She also included some great hidden journaling on her page:
What a awesome job! I love the little strips of paper running behind the pictures :)

I also wanted to share this one that I did a couple years ago... all that's on here is photos, paper & ink...
I am looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with :) Don't forget to add your layout to our Facebook Page or link in the comments.

Now, for a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! I want to get some more readers' layouts, so we will be having a bi-weekly contest on our Facebook Page! Every other week I will be posting a Facebook Challenge- the best layout posted to our Facebook for this challenge will be featured on the blog for the next week! Next week will be the first week this will be happening- make sure to visit our Facebook Page and "Like" Paper Thrills to  enter and have fun!

Challenge #40

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! This week's challenge is a little different, but is a great one to help clean up all those Christmas Cards you received!
This is a Too Much is Never Enough challenge- create a layout using things cut from your Christmas cards as your only embellishments!
Due to illness & moving, we only have 1 layout to share (I may be adding one of my own later) from DT Member Missy! I love how she incorporated the letters in the title!
I look forward to seeing everyone's interpretations of this one!
Hope you all have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
